Cyberbullied Movie

Parents need to know that this TV movie takes a realistic and thoughtful approach to the issue of online bullying as seen through the eyes of a teen victim. Though the social website at the heart of the story is fictional, its similarity to Facebook and the like is implied, so you can draw real-world parallels between the characters' interactions and what your teens find online. The emotional content touches on issues like homophobia and suicide, so be prepared to discuss these themes as well. There's some strong language ("ass" and "damn") and a lot of name-calling ("skank," "whore," "bitch"), both face-to-face and online, and teens talk about their own sexual experiences and their views on premarital sex. There are some positive messages about tolerance, standing up to peer pressure, and turning the tables on adversity, but the movie's serious tone makes it best for teens and up.

Relevant and thought-provoking, CYBERBULLY is a great jumping-off point for talking to teens about the very real dangers that exist online. The movie does a good job of working in most of the hot-button issues related to this topic, including the anonymity that exists online, the legal loopholes that enable cyberbullying, the social pressure on teens to partake in digital relationships, and the emotional devastation that bullying inflicts on its victims and their families. The story also looks at the situation from bystanders' point of view, showing how their indifference further enables the behavior and isolates victims.

There's some stereotyping among the characters (a posse of mean girls is at behind the bullying, and victims include a gay teen and an overweight girl), but a few plot twists serve as reminders that anyone is capable of contributing to the problem. It's true that the issue of online safety is as relevant to today's cyber-savvy younger kids as it is to teens, but this movie isn't the best way to introduce them to the subject due to its weighty subject matter, references to sexual relationships and STDs, and strong language. It is worth making a date to watch and discuss it with your teen, though; you might just be surprised at what you learn about this serious issue.

Why is cyberbullying such a hot topic? Teens: Do you ever see this kind of behavior among people you know? Do you think it is exaggerated or underreported, or does the media portray it accurately? Have you been bullied or cyberbullied? What are your coping mechanisms?

Naturally, many filmmakers have used their resources to talk about this topic. There may not be many films about this topic, however, we are starting to see more and more filmmakers making movies about cyberbullying.

As it turns out, Paramount Productions had its hand behind this nightmarish mess as well. Thankfully, not directly. Henry Cavill, who played Superman in the movie was shooting for Mission Impossible: Fallout when Warner Brothers decided to reshoot scenes of JL.

I asked for kindness. And awareness. I asked that if people chose to see the Peter Rabbit movie, to talk with their children about a scene in the movie where the rabbits deliberately attacked Mr. McGregor with his known food allergy. McGregor had to epi pen himself in the leg to save his own life. The whole scene was made to be a joke.

Thank you for standing up for kids like mine. The movie trivialized a problem that often even adults have not taken seriously with my kids. Without someone pointing out that this scene was in the film I might have exposed my kids to something that makes it appear that their allergies are not a serious life threatening fact of their life.

In the movie, there were many aspects we learned in class that was in the movie. The movie is about this young girl who is bullied online. In class we learned about how our information stays online forever. Whatever is typed online can still be found even though the it's been deleted, however it wasn't shown in the film. In the movie, the mother collects the comments that were still online. Also, according to the movie, it was the friend who admitted to the main character that she created the "James" account. If she hadn't admitted it, she could have still been traced because of the IP address. The IP address is the basically the ID number of the computer. In the recent assignment we had, Evolution of Technology, I learned new information about the technology we have today. From what I have learned doing the project, I learned that can really change in the span of 30 years. I focused more on TV and telephones, and telephones went from being bulky and stationed at home to being able to fit in your pocket. Just like with the TV, it went from being a stationed appliance to being able to fit in your pocket, readily available.

The movie CyberBully is about a teen girl that gets bullied online and tries to stop it but it becomes to much and tries to kill herself. The movie is related to what we have covered in class because we have talked about how anything that we post online and then we delete is never deleted it's always there and can be found. We also learned about tracking a device by the IP address and in the movie the fake profile that was saying bad things could have been easily tracked down and they would have found out who it was. In our latest assignment the evolution of technology i learned that the world of technology went form big boxed looking computers to super thin laptops and ipads. I learned that the first phones where called car phones this really confused me but then i read that they were to big to carry in your pocket so they where in cars. It amazes me how much technology has changed and i'm looking forward to what new things will come.

The movie Cyberbully is about a teenage girl who is bullied online and it gets worse every time she logs in her social media account. She tried to commit suicide until her mother found out what was happening to her. This relates to what we have learned in class because we learned that anything we post online will stay forever. We learned about an IP address and they would've been able to track the "James" guy but the profile was deleted. What I learned in the assignment, Evolution of Technology is that Technology has evolved so much in just a a little bit of time. Every year there is something new and it will continue to expand. I learned that everything is much more easier and convenient. For example, the computers from before were big and not portable. Now a days, all computers are now portable and with more storage.

Cyberbully is about a young girl who is bullied online. In class we learned about how our information stays online forever even if we delete it. In the movie, the mother collects the comments that were still online, created by her best friend. Her best friend posed as a fictional boy that loured in the young girl. Despite of having feelings for this boy, her lesson was to never give out any personal information to someone we do not know. Her life is instantly changed when rumors start to spread. And even though the bully is behind a screen, the comments and rumors deteriorate the main characters life. In our recent assignment, Evolution of Technology, I learned new that the world wide web is very much developing everyday. From having only three across the country, to more than half of every teen having a laptop of their own.

The movie Cyberbully is about a girl named Taylor Hillridge who is a teenage girl whose close friends are Samantha and Cheyenne. Taylor receives a computer for her 17th birthday form her mother, she is excited that she can now be independent of going online. She makes a profile on Cliquester and is now part of the social website. Going to school she develops a crush on a boy in her history class named Scott. But later things go wrong when her brother wrote a message on her profile, and that's when everyone starts to write mean comments about her. Later through the movie she meets a guy named James online and she thinks he is being nice to her. But he later spreads a rumor saying that she slept with him. Taylor starts receiving insults and bullying from her classmates and Lindsay. Taylor can not handle all this bullying she is getting online and she goes to a breaking point where to tries to overdose on pills to die. Her mother is devastated that her daughter is going through this and she takes her to a group for help. She finds out that her friend Samantha was the one who created the profile of James. Samantha then feels guilty and they both go talk about it with a news journalist. This movie relates to the material we have covered in class because it talks about how the media and technology can have such power in a person. It can be a good or a bad thing. Anything you put in the internet stays there forever and we should be cautious. It relates because using technology and the media can have a big influence in our society. What I learned in the recent assignment of Evolution of Technology is that our technology has increasingly advanced through out the years and it will continue to grow and become better through the future years. I learned that the technology made in the 1970's were more bigger and heavier than what we have now. Our televisions are thinner and bigger and our phones are smaller with touch screens. I also learned that the costs of buying the technology back then were expensive for what they produced since our technology is more updated. 2ff7e9595c
