This license is commonly used for video games and it allows users to download and play the game for free. Basically, a product is offered Free to Play (Freemium) and the user can decide if he wants to pay the money (Premium) for additional features, services, virtual or physical goods that expand the functionality of the game. In some cases, ads may be show to the users.

This software is no longer available for the download. This could be due to the program being discontinued, having a security issue or for other reasons.

Under a Windows OS, 'sleep' means that the computer is off and not running programs, but memory is being held live so that it can wake up very quickly. In this state, NO, dropbox can't sync, because it's not running.

Going back to the original subject on top of @Michael Kohne's answer, there seems to be a pitfall on Mac in terms of lock; in default setting (I'm on OSX 10.9.5), OS might go to sleep during lock. To disable that feature, see this post.

With my Dropbox on Mac, I found by looking at my Recent Event page on dropbox.com that the sync only happens while I'm at the machine, although I didn't let it sleep before I left (to sync the huge batch of files). The solution above worked for me -- now it syncs while I'm away.

Yes, you can move online-only content inside the Dropbox folder on your device, and changes sync to your other devices. If you move online-only content outside of the local Dropbox folder, the content downloads to that location.

Today's post comes from a Dropbox user: "I've been using Dropbox for a long time and only lately noticed that it takes forEVER to upload files to Dropbox (it seems fine when downloading). Is there something I can do to speed this up??"

The short answer is yes... most likely (how's that for non-committal!). Dropbox syncing will only happen as fast as your Internet connection will allow, and keep in mind that your download speeds are usually much faster than your upload speeds (this is typical, especially for home Internet). Having said that, there is a simple change that you can make to your Dropbox settings that will give you full access to the speeds you have.

As you can see, network performance settings are split out between upload and download (which is great for giving us control that we need for specific traffic). You'll also notice that while download speeds are set to "Don't limit", upload speeds are set to "Limit automatically". As I mentioned before, this is set this way so that Dropbox syncing doesn't monopolize your network, and it's probably best to leave it here. However, if you have a LOT of data to sync up to Dropbox (like an initial ingest), it may be smart to adjust these settings.

On my machine this happened (OS 10.9.5) I just had to restart (not reboot) and the desktop-save was restored. Better than that: the images that I thought hadn't been saved appeared as they should have.

I was having this problem too, I was using Command-Shift-4, then select an area: It did the sound like it would take a screenshot of an area and save it as a file on the desktop . . . but previously it had been linked to dropbox. So because dropbox wasn't running correctly, it wasn't doing anything. I reopened the dropbox application and that got things sorted.

Just discovered that Fastmail provides access logs. It keeps two weeks worth. If you download the CSV it provides IP address and browser of the visitor as well as which pages were visited. Should be easy to feed into an analyzer.

I just downloaded the latest PS; it launches on el cap. But I'd have to pay to upgrade and its last update was 2010 (nostalgia!) I skimmed through a lot of editors a couple of years ago trying to find an iWeb replacement for a user, and of those I preferred Sandvox, but I only spent a few minutes with it. I should look at Coda, but it's way overkill since I do so little web stuff. I'll look up my notes about the other ones tomorrow.

Drag a file into your Dropbox account and it gets uploaded to the Dropbox servers. You can then choose who you share this file with, and that person can download the file from the Dropbox servers and onto their local machine.

A particularly useful highlight of Smart Sync is that it'll work on both Windows and Mac (backwards compatible with Windows 7 and up, or Mac OS X 10.9 and higher). Rob Baesman, Dropbox's head of product, says that this cross-platform and backwards compatible system is an "industry first." "You're free to collaborate with whoever you want," he said. "You don't have to think about space the same way you did in the past."

Hello!I am a mastering engineer and I use my jotform form to collect project info and accept audio files from clients. I've been trying to integrate it with my dropbox to more easily get access to the submitted files, but I've had some trouble figuring it out. The actual integration was pretty easy but I'm having trouble with the naming of the dropbox folder that is created when receiving a submission. Among other things, I collect the artist name and project/song title with my form. I use that info, along with a project ID (PJMxxx) made with a unique ID widget on the form, to make a custom project name. The format I use is [Project ID] [Artist Name] - [Project/Song Title]An example would be: PJM092 Natie - SomethingHow do I set the name of the new dropbox folder to be created using multiple input fields from the form? Thanks!

Setting up dropbox integration on and seeing different time stamp showing up in Dropbox than what is submitted with..(seeing EST on the folder name in dropbox) while there is a hidden current time field on the form stating the correct current time (PST)..please help

Following steps to integrate with dropbox, but when I click "Authenticate" it doesn't complete the authentication. Looks like it's trying. I'm logged into my dropbox account, and the folder I want submissions to go...but it's not connecting. Any help here?

It seems as though there is a glitch in integrating with dropbox - I keep getting an error message that I have to check my credentials and that authentication failed even though my credentials are correct. Please advise.

Hy, same here as mrpicketts: all files are still stored on jotform - even if they are transmitted to dropbox or deleted in dropbox. There is no possibility to have an auto-delete of submissions on jotform-servers. If you don't delete them manually, they will stay there forever. We have a paid plan, so there is no need to limit us in choosing our own storage solution. please fix this - thanks!Releated thread: -auto-delete-submissions-app-not-picking-up-submissions-for-deletion

Dear SirsAs of today 13-12-19 the Dropbox/Jotform-Synch is not working on a Mac Maverick 10.9.1.Please verify and advise ASAP, as urgent.Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

After clicking "send submissions to dropbox" and logining into my dropbox account and allowing Jotform to access the dropbox account, the pop up window closes and nothing more happens. Can you help?

When uploading files to dropbox, someone mentioned that the link to the file is not protected? I thought all files in dropbox were protected unless explicitly shared??Can someone who knows please explain what happens with the files being uploaded to jotform before they make it to dropbox, and are those files available in any way??

At the moment, there are only two options for using the dropbox function:1) Use Default - Submission ID2) No FolderThere is no option to chose a specific folder or am I missing it?Micha

When saving under a clients name for example, if the same form is saved by the same client, the old form in drop box is overwritten and lost? can we have some time/date fields so PDF's are saved in the same client folder - rather than one at a time. This seams madness!!! the whole reason to save to dropbox is for record keeping - not record overwriting! looking forward to your comments.

offline synchronization on Dropbox makes your work life more convenient and brings you a new network-free experience. Before you follow the steps below, you should download, install, and log in to the Dropbox app on your device. Now, we will give you a detailed introduction to the setup of offline synchronization.

Before you enable Dropbox Smart Sync on your PC, you need to download and install the Dropbox client app on your device. You can enable Dropbox offline download on your laptop with the following steps.

Installation is also available for Mac OS X 10.9 or higher, which is handy if you like to work from different different platforms for different tasks, or like MS Office but prefer Mac machines. Microsoft does not support any variation of linux.

As a mac and PC user I am currently using Onedrive, I have found OKish on the PC but very poor on my Mac, doesnt sync correctly worse than that newly edit files can get overwritten by older ones on the icloud. I am currently looking at moving over to dropbox. I think if MS spent a bit time polishing and refining the client for Mac I would be tempted to use it again but as it stands it is too unreliable for me.

The easier way is a recent feature improvement with the selective sync feature. You sync your files to dropbox, then tell it to choose Online Only. This removes the files from the local device, allowing access to the files through the internet.

I use DB on three computers (home, laptop, workplace) and thus a physical copy of my data resides on each of the three computers. That makes them offline accessible and leaves me very confident knowing that no matter what I can always find an uncompromised backup set on one of the computers.OneDrive in many cases only keeps metadata on the local computer and download the requested file on demand. This is why I hold on to DB and my free 8 GB although I have 1 TB on OneDrive. 2ff7e9595c
